TAKING CARE OF YOUR BIKE IN THE MONSOONS

No doubt, riding in the rains is fun but do take good care of your bike to  avoid wear and tear

IN  WET CONDITIONS THE BOLTS, CABLES, BEARINGS and RIMS are prone to WEAR and CORROSION

PREVENTIVE MEASURES (PRE-MONSOON)
  • Clean and Lubricate the chain with wet lube
  • Lubricate all the cables (lube should reach inside the outer casings)
  • Grease all bolts (apply grease to the bolt heads as well)
  • Grease all the bearings

AFTER EVERY WET RIDE
DRAIN WATER
  • Bounce the bike on floor to shake off all the water
  • Apply rear brakes and pull the front of the bike up so that              bike is up vertically, the water in the frame will drain off from          the hole in chain stays
  • Thoroughly clean all the grit with rag and brush
  • Clean the grit from Brake Pads and Rims
  • Thoroughly clean the chain and Lubricate it
